We had the dumplings kal-gooksu which literally means “knife (cut) noodles”. You can tell it was legit by the various thickness of the noodle strands. Broth was very refreshing. The fried chicken whilst being super crunchy lacked seasoning so next time we will stick to the tasty noodles.

Aftet having a fulfilling meal at K Grill; had to get dessert at K Cafe and try their bingsu, a shaved ice concoction similar to Filipino halo-halo or the Hawaiian favorite shaved ice dessert. The mango bingsu was a great finish to a savory dinner. The bingsu with syrup, fresh mango, sweet milk, crunchy corn flakes and finely shaved ice hit the spot. They serve more that just dessert here, so will have to try their savory offerings at another date. But I really luv this food court in the Schaumburg Joong Boo Market!!

Met with the owner and he hooked me up with the HOUSE SPECIALTY 😍😍😍the Korean style fried chicken was off the chain …🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥I am hooked . I am coming back for more . A culinary flavor explosion 😎

Summer 2026 Update: Dropped two more stars for this place. The last couple of months (May-July) I’m not sure what happened to this place but been getting really old mochi with my bingsoo. Like, biting down, and it’s hard mochi... Yuck. You would think with the hot weather, there would be more demand and more turnout for the bingsoo. They got to work on retaining the freshness of their products. The bingsoo is more sugary and less fresh fruit too. I am disappointed because the bingsoos were good when I first came. Out for a hint for bingsoo elsewhere. Let me know if you find one! Update: I’ve tried the other bingsoo options since my initial review and would say it’s not consistent every time you get it here. Depending on who makes the bingsoo, the ingredient amount and flavoring of it all doesn’t quite match my initial impressions. I knocked this place down one star for food. I would say my first bowl, made by the manager, was the best. There was an adequate amount of mochi, fruit, and shaved milk ice that made me satisfied. Tucked into the food court of Joong-Boo grocery store, KCafe & Eats is one of the food court options and absolutely delicious! This is not your average food court food! I needed to go grocery shopping, but before the tasks begins hubs and I needed lunch! We walked thru the choices available at the food court and decided that Korean wings would be a tasty lunch meal. We were there just before 3:00 so we ordered the KPopcorn chicken lunch special. It came with tater tots (my fav), popcorn chicken with ddukbokki (ttekbokki) in the OG sauce, and a soft drink. We also got a 5 piece chicken wing in honey sauce and a taro blended smoothie. The popcorn chicken with dduk-bokki was plentiful for a lunch special. The OG sauce is DELICIOUS! It's slightly spicy, sweet, umami, and covered everything well! The popcorn chicken was crispy and juicy, nice plump sized pieces, and the dduk-bokki was nicely seared, chewy, and fresh! The tater tots were fried well and we dipped it in the OG sauce. The wings were larger and juicy, sooooo crispy, and covered in plenty of yum honey sauce. It wasn't a sickly sweet honey sauce, it was well balanced! The taro freeze tasted like taro which is good. I've had
